The CEO Climate Dialogue congratulates President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris on their election victory. The new political landscape in Washington will make bipartisan action even more critical. The growing threat of climate change has made such action even more urgent.

 

As a group of business leaders and environmental advocates, we’re committed to continuing to work together to build bipartisan support for long-term, economy-wide federal policy as soon as possible to protect against the worst impacts of climate change. Acting sooner rather than later allows us to meet the climate challenge at the least possible cost and put the required investments in place in time to meet the necessary emissions targets. 

 

We’re looking forward to working with the Biden administration and Congressional leadership to pass meaningful climate policy that will reduce emissions in line with aggressive mid-century targets. We believe the best way to do that is with market-based policies that are durable, effective, equitable and focused on significantly reducing emissions and supporting the competitiveness of the U.S. economy.
